General notes on web services

Not all court data is available- not all of the court's records are publicly available (e.g. juvenile cases, or other data the court opts not to show).

FCRA compliance- unless specified otherwise in the web service definition, all web services comply with key requirements of the the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. Sec. 1681, et seq. (FCRA).  Most notably, this effectively excludes access to non-conviction criminal cases based on how old the case is.

Some data from web services cannot be retained for use in another database.  This is to ensure that incorrect data doesn't remain in such databases long after it was fixed by the court.  See Data retention and web service terms of use for more.
